Commit Your Plans to God…

Life goes by fast. Winston Churchill said that “He who fails to plan, plans to fail.” It is easy to go through life without periodically taking a pause to think about the future and to make plans that will transform your life and the lives of those around you. Proverbs 29:18 says that “Where there is not vision, the people perish.”

There is no greater determinant of success for Christians than committing whatever plans you make to God. God’s plans for you and your life are better than any plan you can create on your own. It is a direct promise from Him in Proverbs 16: 3: “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans“. When you do this, He will do more for you and multiply your blessings.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,  to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever Ephesians 3:20-21 (NKJV).

God plans for you are to prosper you!

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Start today by praying that God gives you a vision of your life that will provide the most blessing to you and to others through you. Once you get this vision, write it down and begin spending time in prayer for God to help you create the plan that will get you there. Then boldly begin to take concrete steps towards the vision. Even if you cannot see how this vision can become a reality, God does.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts”. Isaiah 55:8-9

May God give you a clear vision and plan for your life along with the fortitude and faith in Him to go after it even when it is not obvious to you how it will come to be! Amen.
