When you have 20/20 vision, it means you can see perfectly.
In the year 2020, you should seek to see perfectly, but not just in the physical, but in the Spiritual realm. In order to do this, you will need to build up your faith.
Faith is believing because God said so, before you have seen any results. The way faith works is contrary to how we think as humans. The general logical approach for us is a need to see first in order to believe. With faith, you believe first, and then you will see.
When you focus on God, and obedience to His word, you will begin to get a revelation of Him and His purposes that you cannot perceive with your logical mind. This will enable you to transcend levels of understanding you never thought possible because your senses will grow sharper and your instincts will be guided by the Godhead.
While God’s Spirit will direct you, it is your faith that will lead you to seeing. Work on building your faith, through belief and action on the little things you have been called to.
This should be your key verse for 2020 – I have personalized it for your benefit:
Ephesians 1:17-22
17 I (am asking) that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give (me) the Spirit of wisdom and revelation (20/20 spiritual vision), so that (I) may know him better. 18 I pray that the eyes of (my) heart may be enlightened (20/20 spiritual vision) in order that (I) may know the hope to which he has called (me), the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. 22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way. (Bolded, italicized words are mine)
As you read this, focus on where Christ is seated, and the power that got Him there. This is the same power that is in you, no matter what your circumstance may be. If you take your eyes off Him, you will lose your focus and lose your way.
Pray the following prayers regularly:
- Father, help me to see sin the way you see it – and to believe what you show me.
- Father, help me see everyone around me the way you see them – and to believe what you show me.
- Father, help me to always see myself the way you see me – and to believe what you show me.
- Father, help me to see my current circumstances the way you see them – and to believe what you show me.
