During these tough, isolating and desperate times, you may be wondering where to get your hope. I recommend a man named Jesus.
Jesus Christ is the greatest man ever to have lived ever by any measure possible and the embodiment of hope, love and compassion. His greatness encompasses all the professions of His day. He still lives, and if you call on Him, He is ready to help you. He is trustworthy and reliable and the only one able to carry you through every storm.
He is the greatest physician ever to have lived, possessing expertise in every medical specialty and healing every kind of disease that was brought before him with 100% success rate[i]. Today, there are wonderful specialists that are gifted in individual areas of medicine. Yet Jesus cured skin diseases, healed blood disorders, cured blind eyes, deaf ears, healed neurologic and orthopedic conditions, psychiatric conditions, exorcised demons, instantly performed plastic surgery without instruments and even raised dead people back to life without the benefit of cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)[ii].
At the same time, Jesus was a master chef who needed only a few ingredients to feed and satisfy crowds of thousands[iii].
He is the greatest fisherman of all time, being able to locate and catch large schools of fish without the benefit of special modern sonar equipment[iv].
He is the greatest legal mind of all times, able to argue with the leading experts of the law and win every case brought before Him[v].
He is the greatest chemist to ever live, converting water to the finest tasting wine without the use of any grapes or chemical reagents and without needing to age the wine ahead of time[vi].
He is the greatest pharmacist ever, restoring vision to the blind using only mud and saliva as the ingredients for His eye drops. [vii]
He is the greatest physicist to ever live, with the ability to calm raging storms with simple commands, and the ability to not only walk on water, but also to stop others from sinking when they attempted walking on the same body of water[viii].
He is the greatest prophet ever, speaking the words of God the Father with absolute authority and predicting his own death and resurrection with perfect accuracy[ix].
The greatest teacher ever, He is universally adored for His wisdom that transforms the lives of large crowds [x],[xi].
No man in any profession can stand up and be compared to this God- Man whose only formal education was as an apprentice in carpentry, but whose wisdom is divine.
That is why I say, let Him be your anchor and your strength, as He has been mine. Trust in Him and He will carry you through this and every storm of your life.
